According to an article published by the BBC, almost all universities in England will be able to introduce annual increases to tuition fees until 2020. This is billed in parliament under the title ‘Higher Education and Research Bill’ with the aim of having it passed before the general election.
This means that for the upcoming academic year, tuition fees will increase from £9,000 to £9,250. In addition, it has been reported earlier that interest rates on student loans will increase from 4.6% to 6.1% in autumn.
